Late Reservations
Guests giving only a few days notice of arrival, may be offered
alternative accommodation, the correct accommodation will given as soon as
it becomes available. Payments must be received in full before arrival.
Payment and Cancellation
- All payments are invoiced in UK pound sterling and must be paid in
UK pound sterling. All bank charges that are incurred must be paid for
by the guest. The receiving banks charges are much higher and if not
paid these would have to be charged to your outstanding total.
- An administration fee of 40 GBP (Fourty pounds) is charged for all
reservations of 4 weeks and under. An accommodation deposit of 80.00 GPB
(eighty pounds) is payable in advance.
- If you have given less than two weeks notice of your arrival then
you will have to pay for any accommodation reserved up to the first four
weeks.
- Accommodation documents will be released only when the deposits are
paid and cleared through the bank.
- The Deposit and administration fee are not refundable or
transferable on cancellation. All out standing moneys must be paid two
weeks before arrival to the accommodation, otherwise accommodation will
be cancelled and deposits forfeited (late applicants will have to pay in
full immediately).
- All reservations accepted will forfeit money paid for the first four
weeks accommodation if they:
- Decide to leave the host family within the first four weeks with
out requesting or taking alternative accommodation from Global
Hosts.
If you are unhappy with your accommodation or
it does not meet with your requirements do not move out; inform
Global Hosts and we will offer immediate alternatives.
- Fail to arrive to the host family.
- Cancel the accommodation offer after the address has been
released, (you can postpone your arrival with fourteen days notice
to Global Hosts to a later date without incurring any extra
charges).
- All other departures made after this period will require a weeks
notice to Global Hosts and not the family.
- An administration charge of 40GBP (forty
pounds) will be payable for all refunds, any bank charges incurred will
be paid by the receiving bank. Refunds can take upto four weeks to
complete
Home Stay and Behaviour
- All twin and double rooms are based on more than one person sharing.
If you request this type of accommodation, you will share a room with
another guest with similar requirements.
- All damages and breakages caused by the guest must be paid for by
the guest directly.
- Students must not pay the family directly, the families do not
accept cash payments, this breaks the terms and conditions set out for
the family, and stops any confusion that may arise at a later date.
- Global Hosts must be informed in good time of students who wish to
extend the home stay accommodation otherwise the student may have to
move out. Do not book directly with host family as other students may
already be allocated to the family.
- Students should take out their own insurance policies on
their personal property, i.e. laptops, jewellery and other expensive
items; as these may not be covered under the host families insurance
policies.
- Reasonable behaviour is expected at all times during your stay with
the host family accommodation. Global Hosts reserves the right to remove
any guest whose conduct is unsatisfactory. Refunds or alternate
accommodation will be offered at the discretion of the Director.
- Global Hosts acts in good faith and will not be held responsible for
acts or defaults caused by third parties.
Airport Transfers
- The drivers will wait 2 hours & 30 minutes after the flight has
landed. If the driver has to wait longer, the guest will have to pay the
driver directly 10.00 per 30 minutes for his parking fees and waiting
time.
- If you are having problems at the airport in immigration or health,
please let Global Hosts know on the emergency number. We can delay the
driver arriving or leaving.
- If your flight has been cancelled, over booked or delayed; please
get in touch with Global Hosts as soon as possible, we will TRY to
rearrange the transfer.
- If the driver at the airport does not meet the guest, the guest will
still be liable for the transfer fee, if the driver has proof of
attendance at the airport and the guest does not inform Global Hosts of
the delay.
